THE GODDESS – LA DEA

The project stems from an idea of ​​creating a winged car, aggressive and feminine at the same time. Starting from here, I looked for an Italian manufacturer who designed this type of cars and I came across Mazzanti Automobiles from Pontedera (Tuscany). I wrote them an email to explain the project and they were thrilled. Their latest creation is the EVANTRA PURA Hypercar. The name is inspired by the Goddess Evan of Etruscan mythology, Goddess of Immortality. Opening the doors is reminiscent of a bird of prey braking as it lands. We united everything with a background typical of Etruscan vases with an ancient texture. The end result is stunning. You can see the texture in relief, with cracks typical of historic vases. The car with the doors open recalls the eagle on landing, and the Goddess Evan on the hood seems to be really etched into the background, as if we really were returned to the time of the Etruscans in the IX CENTURY BC. The difficulties of application, given the numerous details of the design created entirely by us freehand, and the particular shapes of the car, as well as the distance between our cities (BOLZANO – PONTEDERA 400km) pushed us to the limit, but the final result rewards us like never before. EVANTRA was presented at the Florence Biennale this 23 October as a work of art. Il progetto nasce da un’idea di creare un’auto alata, aggressiva e femminile al tempo stesso. Partendo da quì, ho cercato un costruttore italiano che progettasse questo tipo di vetture e mi sono imbattuto nella Mazzanti automobili di Pontedera (Toscana). Gli ho scritto una mail per spiegare il progetto e ne sono rimasti entusiasti. L’ultima loro creazione è l’Hypercar EVANTRA PURA. Il nome prende spunto dalla Dea Evan della mitologia Etrusca, Dea dell’immortalità. L’apertura delle portiere ricorda un rapace in frenata mentre atterra. Abbiamo unito il tutto con uno sfondo tipico dei vasi etruschi con trama antica. Il risultato finale è sbalorditivo. Si vede la trama in rilievo, con crepe tipiche dei vasi storici. L’auto con le portiere aperte richiama l’aquila in fase di atterraggio e la Dea Evan sul cofano sembrano incise veramente sullo sfondo, come se fossimo realmente tornati al tempo degli Etruschi nel IX SECOLO A.C. Le difficoltà di applicazione dato i numerosi dettagli del disegno, creato interamente da noi a mano libera e le forme particolari dell’auto, nonchè la distanza dalle nostre città (BOLZANO – PONTEDERA 400Km) ci hanno spinti al limite ma il risultato finale ci premia come mai prima d’ora. EVANTRA è stata presentata alla biennale di FIRENZE questo 23 ottobre come opera d’arte.
